In contemporary Jordan, 19-year-old Syrian refugee Farsana marries an older Jordanian doctor in hopes of finally getting the education that war has stolen from her, but instead she finds herself embroiled in her new husband's bizarre plot to redeem himself. Meanwhile her younger sister, disguised as a boy, goes back to Syria to join the rebellion. Wisdom From Everything is the story of two young women making very different choices in a world where they have very little agency, few rights, no country, and very little support.
